Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest and largest non-religious, non-political, fraternal and charitable organisations.
Freemasonry encourages in its members a moral and ethical approach to life. Its values are based on integrity, kindness, honesty and fairness. Whilst family always comes first, Freemasonry also teaches and practices concern for people, care for the less fortunate and to help those in need. At St Wilfrid Lodge we are delighted to support a large range of charities both National and Local. In addition to our continuous support for Masonic Charities, this year the Master’s Charity raised over £1600.
During the coming year the newly chosen Masters Charities are The Leeds Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and The William Merritt Centre.
Freemasonry means different things to each of those who join. For some, it’s about making new friends and acquaintances. For others it’s about being able to help deserving causes – making a contribution to family and society. At St Wilfrid we are pleased to do all of these.
